The hard drive failed on my MacBook Pro. Applestore advised they couldn’t recover the data when they fixed the laptop, and that the data would be lost (including my photos that had not been backed up). I described the issue with R3 by phone, and they were confident they could recover the data and confirmed the cost. It took just 16 hours from registering with R3 that I wanted them to look at the failed drive, to being notified what data had been recovered. I was kept informed of progress throughout, and all my files were recovered.

I have used R3 Data Recovery for the second time now in the last three years and have been exceptionally impressed from start to finish both times; from loosing all data from a failed usb memory stick to receiving an email stating all list of data had been recovered all within a few days. Once I made the enquiry to R3 Data Recovery making them aware of my troubles; they organised the failed memory sticks collection by courier, got it back to their lab and got straight on with locating my lost data. On this second most recent occasion the file list was copied through to my email account following on with a file upload where I had difficulties installing and accessing the files to continue working on. I made contact to a staff member called Andy at R3 data Recovery stating I had difficulties but after linking through the “Team Viewer” programme; in no time at all was my data file successfully uploaded and all files were accessible.
A true honest company that I will be strongly happy to recommend and would happily make contact with them if I face another major issue!

When my external backup drive failed I feared many years of documents were lost. Not only were the files recovered but presented back in their original folders so they could be easily reviewed and restored to my system. Sensitive documents were dealt with confidentially. Excellent timely service.

I have recently used R3D to retrieve data from an external hard drive.
I called Andy at 11pm on a Saturday after my hard drive failed, he immediately ran through the symptoms and calmed my fears that all data was lost, but was honest that data recoveries are not always successful.
I required the data immediately as it was for a deadline the following Friday, the issue was I was based in London and the lab based in Sheffield.
After searching all data companies in and around London none would answer my call on a Saturday. In fact no one else would answer my call or say they could look at my case on the Sunday.
i took the drive myself to R3D and was very impressed with their facilities. Andy also explained the whole process and what they were doing at each stage.
Unfortunately the hard drive had a physical failure and needed to be rebuilt to have any chance of recovering the information.
After starting the rebuild at 4pm on the Sunday, Andy advised it would take him and his team until the morning to know if any information was recoverable - fantastic I thought.
Andy and Mark got to work on my drive as soon as I left and by 10pm on Sunday they had retrieved almost the entirety of the information of my hard drive.
I cannot reccomend R3D highly enough, they are clearly experts in their field and have a passion for what they do.
Through the whole process Andy kept me informed of progress and explained everything they were doing.

I have witnessed R3 giving help over the phone to several people with their situations. Talking them through their data storage and recovery problems and spending many minutes attempting to fix potential clients problems over the phone without even charging for their time!
Even then, when it is not possible to fix it with general help via the phone they will then talk potential customers though the possible costs, procedures and outcomes with a best scenario and a worst scenario and several other possibilities too.
I don’t know of any other service that are as helpful and supportive of a clients needs - before they even have the caller as a client!
Beware of other poor substitutes, these guys are the best!

R3 Data Recovery were amazing ! The service was excellent and Prompt. My daughters memory stick snapped in half with loads of her A-level and BTEC work on it. It was a Sunday evening when the stick broke, I phoned Andy Butler ( who made my daughter and myself feel better with his professionalism and calm advice) and within the next hour I had dropped off the stick at his laboratory - the day after Monday afternoon Andy had e-mailed me to inform me that my daughters work had been recovered. Also a big thank you to the duty engineer Mike Wainwright who had worked on the stick.

Never have I experienced a company that cared about the customer more than R3 Data Recovery. They have been helpful and friendly from the very first inquiry I made, everyone I talked to being that perfect blend of informative, understanding and helpful.
I truly felt like everyone I talked to was giving me 100% of their time and effort and they wanted to fix the drive as much as I wanted it back. Any bad news they relayed was quickly followed up by potential solutions that they wanted to do.
I had complete faith in everyone involved and I am eternally grateful that I chose R3 Data Recovery. I cannot recommend them enough if you have any kind of drive failure.

I had a corrupt 465GB Hitachi hard drive with 269GB data which was not readable and I was so stressed out and I contacted R3, I spoke to Andy Butler a few times which made me feel a lot better; the customer service was excellent.
Andy reassured me and I got back I believe 97% data and within 5 days… we’ll done R3 data… I have passed on your site and phone numbers to all whom I know if they’re data fails.
I am a very happy customer. Plus I’m extremely satisfied with my results.

THE REAL DEAL R3 Data Recovery are Geniuses!!! I am almost speechless with what an incredible job you have done for me. As a videographer my data is my life, You saved 1.2TB of footage and all of my projects from a 2TB portable hard drive that I dropped. As soon as it hit the floor I felt sick. My son damaged a USB flash that contained weeks of coursework. R3 were amazing from start to finish:-
Accurate quote, but asking for the details before confirming the quote. That was very competitive.
Professional communication throughout, and with confirmation of receipt even on a Saturday, recovery updates and dispatch of the data back to me. Invoicing and payment was easy also.

The inevitable happened and a CF card failed when I was filming a wedding. 3 companies told me the card had not recorded any info and that the footage was not recoverable. Someone mentioned R3 Data and I thought I’d give it one last attempt.
The service was second to none. They sent a courier to collect my card (the other companies had never physically seen my card) they kept me up to date with the process throughout and managed to return all the corrupt files intact. To be able to tell the bride all has been saved was a feeling I’ll never forget and I’ll happily use R3 again (thought hopefully not to soon)

I have been wanting to write this review for some time as I’ve been nothing but grateful for the work Andy, Martin and all the team completed for me. I was in a real pickle when a (seemingly innocuous) spillage on my laptop threatened to destroy several month’s music production work, vital to my career.
Andy’s calm and reassuring manner, coupled with the timely and professional operation carried out by R3 meant that nearly all my data was retrievable (to within an hour or so of the spillage). The team kept me apprised all the way through the process; collected and returned the hard disk to me with a minimum of fuss and suggested alternative means of backing up (I backup on a daily basis now to external hard drives and the cloud!!)
A 10/10 service, I’ll definitely be recommending R3 to any colleagues similarly finding themselves up a certain creek without a certain paddle!!

I wanted to write a review and now I can. I was SO very pleased to get the information back that I had lost that I sent a ‘thank you’ card. Writing a review obviously gets to a larger audience.
I was very impressed with the service I got and the frequent phone calls and emails I got too.
I was informed at every stage of the process and the cost too. It was fairly expensive, but to get all my photographs back was wonderful and something I thought could not happen and worth every penny. Thank you R3 Data Recovery.

R3 Data Recovery, from first enquiry phone-call with Will to returning my fully recovered HD data by courier, they were impeccable. They were really faultless. They recovered my data sooner than arranged, they kept me informed & updated at every stage. There was no hard sell, no nasty surprises, they told me the prices upfront and sent emails to confirm this. They honoured the original quoted price. They were just a joy to work with! I was so impressed!! I’ve already recommended them to a friend who has a damaged SD card.
I’m an extremely happy & relieved bunny right now. R3 Data solved a problem Apple was arbitrarily charging me around £2000 to sort and the high street recovery shops were clueless about. One high street data recovery shop claimed they could fix my hard-drive, kept it for 3 days, didn’t fix it then still charged me £105 to get my laptop back.
Seriously!! Try R3 data. I mean, they even send a courier to pick up you HD from where-ever you are.

I lost my data after inadvertently deleting my hard drive instead of my wife’s micro SD card in her phone. This was late at night after putting in some serious hours so I can only assume I was over tired and not really thinking. I right clicked the drive I thought was my wife’s card, it asked if I wanted to format it, I said ok and renamed it. A few seconds passed and I took out the SD card put it in the phone and the photos were still there. It took me a few moments to realise what I had done. When I went to the drive that held ten years work there was nothing there and it was renamed.
I went drip white I could hardly breathe… My wife came in asking what was wrong I explained that I had deleted the hard drive and lost everything not just photos, contracts, books I wrote, manuals for my company, all the history of everything I had ever done.
I quickly Googled data recovery whilst my wife found my friend Jack Daniels, there were a few that came up some saying they were 24 hours, when I rang no answer. I came across R3 Data Recovery and they said they were 24 hours, I rang and a real person answered my call. The chap I spoke to calmed me down, asked what I had done and what I had done after. I had the insight to not try and do anything myself as well as do nothing else to the drive. He told me they have great success and a good track record. I explained to him that right now I had lost anything so any data recovery would be better than none.
I have now had the drive back for a week or so and I have not found any of the work that is missing. I have lost my honeymoon pictures, however I may have these on disc somewhere. I estimate the data recovery is about 85%-90% successful. I know there are things missing but it has allowed me to carry on seamlessly without any major issues. I have as of yet to have really missed something. There was a bit of a glitch with the lead that when I connected the drive to the computer it told me the drive had malfunctioned. They organised a pick up the next day and within three days I had a new lead and the data was there. I think all in all even with the lead issue the returned my data within the ten days they said.
I cannot recommend them highly enough. Do not go for anyone else nor attempt anything yourself just call these guys and leave it with them, They kept me very informed and have done a cracking job I am amazed… they exceeded my expectations, thankfully.
